Was probably a great hotel in it's day. The hotel is a relic from the 60's? You could tell it must have been really something in the day.  I also suspect that the pandemic has taken it's toll on the hotel.  Good things: great bird action while sitting at the pool, beds are good, rooms clean. best shower in Costa Rica/hot and good pressure, great breakfast,  Bad:  over priced, needs maintenance, public pool, service at pool and restaurant non existent/horrible, no views in the room, dogs barking in room at night in rooms next door, safe was broken, very small TV and only CNN in English, our friends room had a broken phone.

Vacaciones en familia Nos hospedamos dos noches. El hotel es muy lindo, ubicado en una zona  tranquila. Si tienes suerte y sale a caminar por los alrededores podrán ver lapas, loras y tucanes. La piscina tiene buen tamaño. La comida del restaurante es buena. Me encantaron los cuadros que tienen en los pasillos y habitación. Tienen amplio parqueo.

Not the best experience in Golfito We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The food at the restaurant is not the best. They served me burned eggs that was not possible to eat. On Saturday night, they had a big party that ended up after 12 midnight. Our room was in front of were they organized the party, so we could sleep due to the big noise. They allowed the people assisting to that party to park in the hotel's parking spaces, so we had to park our car in the street. For a hotel to be supposed to be one of the best in the area, the experience compared to staying in a $20/night cabina.

Bonito lugar El hotel esta muy bonito y bien ubicado, el restaurante debe mejorar ciertas cosas pero en general muy bien la atencion, tuvimos un problema con el tiempo de espera de la cena pero el Gerente nos ayudo a solucionar rapido

Pésima experiencia. No recomiendo este hotel. Hicimos una visita en familia y fue terrible la experiencia. Hubo una fiesta con más de 100 personas y bulla en exceso hasta las 3 de la mañana. Excelente Hotel en el Centro de Golfito Estuvimos 2 noches, honestamente era mi primera vez visitando la zona y quedé muy satisfecha con el trato, la comida y lo limpia de las habitaciones. El desayuno delicioso y bastante generoso. El área de piscinas y restaurante está muy bien cuidado y el personal muy amable para atender. La comida del restaurante tiene un 100!. Excelente hotel muy comodo el hotel, habitaciones mas grandes que lo standard. Las camas son muy confortables. El web checking facilita el check in al ingresar, es bastante rapido y el personal de recepcion te escolta hasta la habitacion. La decoracion es exquisita. No hay ruidos que molesten el sueno. Buena Muy bonito lugar la comida del restaurante muy rica , el servicio de reserva recepción muy bueno muy amables . Y atentas , lo único malo es el ruido de las actividades del restaurante y los huéspedes hablando y riendo en los pasillos a altas horas de la madrugada.

Worst hotel in Costa Rica We have been to more than 30 hotels in Costa Rica, the Casa Roland was the worst hotel we ever seen in this beautiful country. The woman at the reception was very unkind and shows no interest for guests. Room was dark but clean, bathroom was old and 1 star standard. The bed was okay. You have to cross the road to get to the pool area, which is loud and busy. It’s a public pool and seems that people visit the hotel only because their shopping tours. The food at the restaurant ( we had pasta) was bad and the breakfast was really bad. The city of Golfito is very old and ugly, we don’t recommend to visit it. Also the hotel is on the Same Standard, really bad! We will never come back !
